Photographer Showcase

Every month we select a photographer and ask what inspires them in the photographic industry and the passion behind the overall concept from the shot to the final presentation.

This month we speak to:

Emma Jones
The thought of helping someone though my imagery, whether this be personal confidence, relationships, camera fear or after life trauma is what brought me to specialise in boudoir and private photography for women.

I wanted to be able to help people in some way and after my first boudoir shoot everything fell in place and I knew what I was put on this earth to do!

For me, boudoir photography is not just a title for an area of photography, it's a service that entails far more than taking photos and editing. The amount of physical and mental work required for each client is immense and can be very stressful and emotional at times.

Myself and the stylists are like therapists, we hear all sorts of body, life and relationship problems and through the experience and photography offered, we can take steps to solving some if not all of them.

My studio and style is vintage rather than contemporary simply because I have an interest in anything with a history/story to it and want to continue this in my photography.

Every day my business and I are taking new steps, expanding, developing new styles and relationships. I am so proud and lucky to be able to offer such a rewarding service that my heart and soul are in at every phase of the journey.

Most inspiring photo with the “WOW factor” and why?

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I believe this to be the same for the wow factor.

From a recent shoot, this photo holds many meanings and emotions for me. The client had been ill and bedridden for a very long time and the photo shoot was something she had been working towards for 13 years. Not only was she well enough to undertake the shoot, she was also facing her hatred of having her photo taken.

This photo is gentle, relaxed, happy and sensual but overall for my client it is accomplishment! And for that I am grateful and touched to have been given the chance to be part of.
